Composite Bonding

Cosmetic bonding is minimally invasive and so generally requires little preparation of the teeth with no need for drilling or an anaesthetic.

Advanced, tooth-coloured composite resin is then applied to the teeth to be treated, permanently bonding to the tooth surface.

When the resin hardens, the material can be shaped to improve the appearance of stained, irregular or chipped teeth and reduce gaps between teeth for a seamless and natural-looking smile.

To finish the treatment, your dentist will polish the surface to match the surrounding teeth.

A cosmetic bonding procedure is relatively fast, with reliable results and great-looking smiles.

With care, a cosmetic bonding treatment can generally last several years.

However, just as with natural teeth, damage such as cracking or chipping can occur when biting on hard foods such as ice cubes, nuts and sweets.

Fortunately, cosmetic bonding can be repaired or replaced as required.
